These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website located at www.thecarechair.com (the “Site”), our online courses, certifications, memberships, digital products, and related services (collectively, the “Services”), all operated by The Care Chair LLC (“The Care Chair,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using our Services, creating an account, enrolling in a course, or purchasing a membership, you agree
1. Who We Are
The Care Chair LLC is a trauma-informed continuing education platform for licensed beauty professionals, located at 2220 Maple Rose Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89134. You can reach us at contact@thecarechair.com.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, make a purchase, or use our Services. By using the Services, you represent that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
Our continuing education (“CE”) courses are designed for licensed beauty professionals. While anyone meeting the age requirement may purchase and complete a course, CE credit and the TCC Certified Professional™ designation are intended for licensed professionals, and acceptance of credit is subject to the rules of your governing state board (see Section 5)
3. Accounts
To access certain Services, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information;
- Keep your login credentials confidential;
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account;
- and Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
You may not share, sell, or transfer your account or course access to anyone else. Course enrollment and
certifications are personal and non-transferable.
4. Courses, Certification & CE Credit
The Care Chair™ Certification is a self-paced online continuing education course. Upon completing the course and passing the assessment (minimum 75% on a 20question evaluation), you earn the TCC Certified Professional™ designation and a certificate of completion reflecting 3.0 CE hours.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Completing the course does not guarantee any professional license, renewal, or outcome.
- You are solely responsible for verifying that your state board accepts these CE hours before relying on them for license renewal. The Care Chair is an approved CE provider in certain states, but approval status varies by state and may change over time.
- Certificates are issued based on the information you provide. You are responsible for the accuracy of your name and license details.
5. Educational Content Is Not Clinical or Medical Advice
This is important given the nature of our content. The Care Chair’s courses, frameworks, and materials including the TCC S.A.F.E. Method™ and the C.H.A.I.R. Protocol™ are educational tools designed to help beauty professionals create supportive, trauma-aware client experiences.
Our content is not therapy, counseling, crisis intervention, medical advice, or a substitute for care from a licensed mental health or medical professional. Nothing in our Services should be used to diagnose, treat, or counsel any individual. If you or a client is experiencing a mental health crisis, contact a licensed professional or emergency services.
6. Memberships & Subscriptions
We offer membership tiers, including The Circle, a paid membership billed at $19.99 per month (or the then-current price displayed at checkout).
By subscribing, you authorize us (through our third-party payment processor) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Auto-renewal & cancellation:
- Your membership automatically renews each billing cycle at the then-current rate unless you cancel.
- You may cancel at any time through your account settings or by emailing contact@thecarechair.com.
- Cancellation stops future charges. Your access continues until the end of the current paid billing period.
- Refunds for memberships are governed by our Refund Policy.
We may change membership pricing or features with reasonable advance notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
7. Payment
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor Revere Payments. We do not store your full payment card details. You agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize all charges associated with your purchases.
8. Intellectual Property
All content within the Services including courses, written materials, videos, workbooks such as Every Chair Holds a Story™, graphics, logos, and the proprietary frameworks TCC S.A.F.E. Method™ and C.H.A.I.R. Protocol™ is owned by The Care Chair LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
When you purchase a course or membership, we grant you a limited, personal, nontransferable, nonexclusive license to access the materials for your own professional development. You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, resell, or publicly share any course materials;
- Record, screenshot for redistribution, or create derivative works;
- Use our trademarks, brand names, or frameworks without prior written permission;
- Use our content to build or teach a competing course or program.
“The Care Chair,” “Every Chair Holds a Story,” “TCC S.A.F.E. Method,” “C.H.A.I.R. Protocol,” “TCC Certified Professional,” and related marks are trademarks of The Care Chair LLC.
9.Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ accounts;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services;
- Upload harmful code or attempt to scrape or harvest data;
- Misrepresent your identity or credentials.
We may suspend or terminate your access for any violation of these Terms, without refund where permitted by law.
9. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that CE credit will be accepted by any particular board or authority.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Care Chair LLC and its owners, officers, and team members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Care Chair LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Site or by email. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
